About Sonic Sanctuary Studios

Our History

Sonic Sanctuary Studios was founded in 2010 by Ethan Vance, a seasoned audio engineer with a passion for music and a vision to create a world-class recording facility in the heart of Los Angeles. Ethan, a graduate of the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, spent years working in various studios, observing what worked and what didn't. He envisioned a space where artists could feel comfortable, inspired, and supported throughout the recording process. He wanted to build a sanctuary for sonic exploration.

Initially, Sonic Sanctuary Studios started as a small project studio in a converted garage. Ethan invested in a few key pieces of equipment, including a vintage mixing console and a collection of high-quality microphones. Word quickly spread among local musicians about the studio's exceptional sound and Ethan's dedication to helping artists achieve their creative goals. As demand grew, Ethan expanded the studio, moving to its current location on Sunset Boulevard in 2015.

The new facility was designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind. The studio features a spacious live room with variable acoustics, a state-of-the-art control room equipped with a Neve 88RS console, and comfortable lounge areas for artists to relax and recharge. Over the years, Sonic Sanctuary Studios has become a sought-after destination for artists of all genres, from indie rock bands to hip-hop artists to film composers.
